Zarina Stahnke grew up in Northern Virginia, USA. She attended the School of American Ballet for four years. Zarina also studied painting, sculpture and drawing at the Student’s Art League ofNew York. She joined the Semperoper Ballet in Dresden, Germany in 2011. She has worked with many choreographer’s including William Forsythe, David Dawson, Alexander Ekman, Joseph Hernandez, Jiri Kylian and Mats Ek. As a film editor Zarina has worked on music videos, fashion and dance films, and video installations at the Autocenter in Berlin and the Dresden Deutsches Hygiene Museum.
