Italian born, Alice Mariani is a First Soloist with the Semperoper Ballett and trained at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala. Her repertoire includes roles such as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake (Aaron S Watkin after M.Petipa & L. Ivanov), Gamzatti in La Bayadere, The Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty (Aaron S. Watkin after M. Petipa), The Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker (Aaron S. Watkin/Jason Beechey after M. Petitpa) and Kitri in Don Quixote (Aaron S. Watkin), Principal Couple in Theme and Variations, 1st and 4th movement Principal Couple in Symphony in C, Soloist in Who Cares (George Balanchine), Bride in Giselle (David Dawson), In The Middle Somewhat Elevated, Vertigineous Thrill of Exactitude, Impressing the Czar and Artifact Suite (William Forsythe), She was Black (Mats Ek) and Walking Mad (Johan Inger). Additionally, throughout her career she has been involved in numerous creations and Principal/Soloist roles in works by Alexei Ratmansky, Jiří Kylián, Alexander Ekman, Ohad Naharin and Stijn Celis. Alice has appeared in several international ballet galas including the 35th Red Cross International Benefit Gala, Italy where she performed the world premiere of SONATA by Craig Davidson. She has also been awarded the best Italian dancer abroad in 2017.
